Edge of the Peak District

I thought I’d post a couple of pictures taken right from the very edge of the National Park, this time at Totley Moor, where you can sit on the hill and look one way past broken down old walls and Gateposts towards Totley, then beyond towards Sheffield City Centre and then the other way ..

this way towards the tors at Over Owler and Higger Tor and then beyond towards the Great Ridge and Kinder Scout. It never ceases to amaze me how good the Peaks look even with such big conurbations close-by, and also at the same time worries me that its so easy for just one or two people to cause the kind of destruction that occurs regularly during Spring and Summer when a dropped cigarette or left barbecue can burn tens of acres of Moor or Woodland.
